All:
This introduces tmplrbob (also known as Ordo Saint Maurice on Renspace). I am nominally a SCAdian, but most of my focus of late has been towards making my kit and encampment suitable for the Village of Bellericay at the Fishers RenFaire. My portrayal is that of a late 12th century Templar sergeant, preparing for the Third Crusade of Richard Couer-de-Leon. To this end, I have the following:
- A 12-foot diameter round pavilion.
- A small wooden cot.
- A small breakdown table.
- A pair of wooden benches.
- A coffer chair
- A wooden weapons and armour rack.
- A "Beauseant" Templar banner.
- A black woolen hooded monastic robe.
- A black woolen Templar cloak (with distinctive cross).
- A monastic "pileus" cap.
- Various tunics, chausses and braies.
- A dagger.
- An eating knife.
- A belt pouch with belt.
- 12th century medieval shoes.
- A blackened stainless flat-ringed riveted maille hauberk, coif and chausses.
- A gambeson made of hemp canvas.
- A shield.
- A sword.
- A flanged mace.
- A falchion.
- A lance.
- Various games.
- English pennies from the reign of Henry II.
- A wax tablet for writing notes (a 12th century PDA, if you will).
My big goal is to use what I have as an educational opportunity. The last time I went to the Fishers RenFaire, my area got quite a lot of questions (especially from the children). That's what my presentation is primarily aimed towards, but I don't mind answering questions from adults, either.
If anyone has suggestions on how to improve my presentation, please don't hesitate to ask.
T-Bob (Ordo Saint Maurice)

'Tis an most excellent means history is transferred unto youth thereat!
Sir MikelAs to thy request, I would humbly tender thus:
I would add a tankard or a pottle for thy refreshement. Thy hand be a seive, methinks.
Mayhap a chunk of bread as thy trencher to hold thy viands away from the planks of thy table would, too, be of some use?
